We are seeking a highly experienced Water Treatment Operator to join our team.
Applicants need to have strong communication skills and work well within a team environment as well as working independently.
Ensuring that water entering plant is treated to meet regulatory standards
Regulate water flow through stages of treatment
Using proper methods to treat water, monitor plant for unclean water, and correct any problems as soon as possible
Ensuring the proper execution of water treatment processes while complying with all safety requirements
Use appropriate chemicals to treat water and wastewater
Take samples and monitor water quality
Keep accurate records of all treatments and readings taken
Carry out routine maintenance on treatment equipment and report faults to engineers
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating a treatment plant
Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or relevant experience
The ability to follow processes and procedures
An understanding of health and safety regulations
Observational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated experience with SCADA including the ability to analyse trends
Knowledge about water treatment process, chemicals, filtration, and other aspects of water treatment.
Operator must have the ability to read and understand water treatment plant schematics, manuals, and other documents in order to carry out daily tasks
Requires knowledge of water chemistry, wastewater treatment process and plant operations.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to pass all pre-employment checks
