Technical Solutions Manager – PG Specialist Services

Downer has formed the NGT business which delivers state-of-the-art technical solutions and services for Government Agencies, Local Governments, Transport Authorities, Industrial and Resources customers by implementing ITS (Intelligent Transport Solutions), Communications Networks, CCTV, Security and Access Control Systems.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Downer is seeking a suitable certified Technical Solutions Manager with extensive knowledge in communications and security technology to join our Next Generation Technology team based in Canning Vale. They will be accountable for the effective management of technical design, business improvement and development whilst managing key accounts within the NGT business. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Technical Design and Proposals
• Business Development & Continual Business Improvement
• Key Account Management
• Cost Estimating
• Bid Reviews & Risk Assessments
• Provide expert advice and demonstrate technical skills in security and communications systems
• Achieve Zero Harm compliance. 

ABOUT YOU

• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical or sales management role
• Experience in the management of projects with a value of up to $5 million
• Experience in subcontractor management and engagement
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the electrical, communications or Security Industries.
• Extensive knowledge of communications and security technologies.
• Knowledge of financial management principles.
• Knowledge of business development principles.
• Knowledge of business excellence principles
• Competency in MS Dynamics, Project, Visio, Excel and Word
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop comprehensive sales reports

Qualifications

• ACMA license or equivalent (desirable)
• WA Security Consultant license (desirable)
• Western Australian Electrical License (desirable)
• Certificate IV in Front Line Management (desirable)
