About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our Field Maintenance Team on site at BMA’s Blackwater Mine Site, located in Central Queensland.
Reporting to our Field Maintenance Superintendent, your role will involve safely leading and supporting our teamthrough the maintenance of a fleet of Draglines and Electric Shovels across site. Energetic and committed, you work well with challenges, bringing attention to detail and an ability to meet multiple deadlines. You relate well with people, communicate confidently and build positive working relationships.
Based at BMA”s Blackwater Mine Site in Central Queensland working on a 2D2N2D3N3D2N roster, your duties will include:
• An overriding commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities • Safely lead and support Dragline and Electric Shovels Maintenance Team planned and unplanned maintenance activities and incident management • Overseeing compliance with Australian standards, weekly work schedule, operating standards, procedures. • Working effectively with other maintenance and production team members to better understand and manage equipment maintenance and resolve problems affecting Draglines and Electric Shovels. • Building relationships across Site and Functions to achieve a positive working environment for task execution • Monitoring of asset integrity and compliance to statutory maintenance & inspection requirements • Demonstrating, supporting and embedding a culture of continuous improvement • Managing and coaching work groups on quality, task-based risk assessments • Strong commitment to the field leadership program and the coaching of field leadership activities.
To be suitable for this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
• Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Trade or a similar certified qualification • Previous experience leading a high performing team • Current Australian C class manual drivers licence • Strong safety leadership skills and a history of field leadership participation • Well-developed understanding of the operation and maintenance of Dragline and Electric Shovels • Experience working with high voltage, instrumentation, PLC controls systems, if applicable • Strong 1SAP & Fiori knowledge and skills • Experience in performance management • An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work, with a desire to develop and learn and • Previous Mine site experience, preferably in a similar type of role • Ability to drive required change by constantly looking for opportunities to improve work practices and procedures • Solid work management and planning work ethic and planned maintenance work methodology.
