About the Role
BHP’s Performance and Analytics Team is responsible for undertaking analysis and providing insights to drive maintenance productivity and performance across our assets. Our activities range from identifying maintenance performance gaps, deriving actionable insights, formulating strategies and implementing improvement projects.
As Specialist Performance and Analytics, you will work in a team that is responsible for providing performance insights to deliver improvements in BHP Maintenance performance globally. You will work collaboratively within a team of Performance Principals and Specialists; and Data Analytics Principals and Specialists. The role is a key advisor to decision makers as we develop strategies to mitigate risk and improve outcomes for our customers.
This is a Brisbane based role offering permanent opportunity working Monday to Friday. Flexible working options are available.
Investigating complex problems using a structured problem-solving approach and data
Working with Data scientists to define and solve problems utilising a range of technologies and techniques
Enabling performance improvement by producing actionable insight from data
Working closely with stakeholders and SMEs to formulate insights and conclusions
Delivering analyses in a clear, concise manner that can be understood by stakeholders.
Confidently present ideas, results, and recommendations to stakeholders at all organisational levels
You will have a related tertiary qualification and demonstrated experience in supporting business improvement strategies and initiatives.
Have strong analytical, critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
A strong ability to frame complex problems simply, identify discrepancies and trends, and develop sound conclusions based on a combination of data and experience.
Have experience using structured approaches to attain project goals
Have experience in exploring and proposing new ideas that may have benefits for the business
Have strong presentation and communication skills
Be a collaborative team player that is results orientated
Thrive in dynamic, fast paced teams.
Other highly regarded experience includes:
Strong understanding of Maintenance Processes and Management systems including planning, reliability, and asset management.
Asset Management experience in mining, manufacturing, or similar heavy industry
Experience working in engineering and/or management consulting
Experience using Power BI
Experience delivering technical change projects.
