Roy Hill is currently seeking a Specialist Contracts to join the Projects team in Perth on a Max Term Contract. Reporting to the Superintendent Contracts, you will be responsible for Management of Contracts allocated as required which may involve managing the Contract from Pre- award to Post-Award and Contract Post- Award management. These duties will include competent performance of tender/contract formation, expression of interest (EOI), pre bid meetings, terms and condition negotiation, bid analysis, carriage, execution, administration, and management of Contracts in accordance with Roy Hill’s contractual and procedural requirements, legal requirements, codes and standards.

Accountabilities include: 

• Develop and deliver Contract packages in relation to contracting strategies and plans to be used for the project.
• Manage EOI processes in accordance with Roy Hill policies and procedures.
• Prepare, issue and tender Contract observing all confidentiality requirements.
• Undertake and participate in Tender Evaluations.
• Monitoring deliverables under the contract against requirements and responding in a timely manner where issue arise or can be seen to arise.
• Identification and escalation of claims required against insurances.
• Manage and minimize impacts of variations or variation claims.

For you to achieve outstanding results in this position, your experience and skills should include the following: 

• Previous experience facilitating successful contract delivery of contracts. Experience within the mining sector is not necessary.
• Preferably the candidate will have completed a bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, however if the right candidate has a degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Business, Commerce, Finance or Law they may be considered.
• High level of customer service, interpersonal skills and professional standards.
