About the role

To support our training requirements, we are seeking experienced part time Simulator Trainer to join our team. This role will be based at our Head Office in Osborne Park, the role will be on a part time basis offering full flexibility.

Reporting to our Senior Simulator Trainer, your primary responsibility will be to deliver Simulator training for Surface Mining Equipment across multiple platforms. You will have a positive and empowering interaction with trainees while delivering instruction and guidance, updating and maintaining valid and reliable training records within company systems.

You will be responsible for monitoring the progress of trainees through regular contact with site trainers and line management to provide end to end support. As well as assisting in the maintenance of ‘highest utilisation’ principles for the effective operation of the simulators fleet and training delivery.

• Deliver high quality SME training via the simulator fleet
• Build and maintain successful relationships with the trainees, site trainers and line management
• Provide guidance and feedback to trainees and requestors as appropriate
• Uploading training results, records and information correctly in INX Intuition in a timely manner
• Monitor the complaint use of the Simulator fleet by Trainees
• Assist in changing out Simulator conversion kits as required to meet clients’ needs
• Accountable for any other reasonable instructions from Senior Simulator Trainer and direct manager

About you

• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116)
• Extensive knowledge of SME and ancillary mining equipment
• Knowledge of HSEQT legislative requirements
• Some experience in SME operation in a mining environment
• Minimum 2 years in a similar / training role
• Experience and ability to complete administrative duties
• Ability to lift/install simulator equipment when required
