As our successful Senior Shutdown Supervisor, reporting directly to the Superintendent Shutdown Execution you will provide leadership to a team focussed on the safe and quality execution of the shutdown plan and schedule.
This opportunity based at the Port at Port Hedland and is being offered on a 8/6 and 7/7 days and nights FIFO roster. In this role, you will lead the effective coordination of tasks during shutdown execution, ensuring the execution of planned and scheduled work by the Area Coordinators and external workforce is performed in the safest manner possible in line with BHP Charter Values, BHP Policies/ Procedures, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
While you guide and support a team of both BHP Employees and Service Contractors the responsibility includes:
• Maintaining a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment
• Executing the shutdown plan in conjunction with Site Maintenance Execution, our Maintenance Centre of Excellence’s Planners, Schedulers and other stakeholders
• Identifying and providing input in the continuous improvement of our shutdown planning process
• Liaising with Operations and Maintenance teams to validate and challenge the scope of work, including preparation requirements, isolation requirements and maintenance activities
• Liaising with the Shutdown Scheduler to ensure schedule is updated during execution to reflect performance against plan
• Liaising with contractors for various activities such as mobilisation, task execution, close out and demobilisation
• Management of Safety Events & Investigations
