About the Role
The Senior Control Systems Engineer (Process Improvement Mines) provides technical support as subject matter expert.
You will work closely with other maintenance and production teams to ensure safe and sustainable solutions are delivered and successfully implemented.
In this role you will:
Provide support to fixed plant maintenance to fault find and identifying root cause.
Ensure that designs include HSEC considerations for risks in constructability, operability, maintainability and sustainability.
Manage and execute minor works related to automation improvements.
Contribute to the review and improvement of control systems standards.
Contribute to Technology Process Improvement Control Systems strategy
Provide technical stewardship through a variety of minor work in the electrical and control systems space.
Provide governance on all proposed control systems changes on site including critical control effectiveness test and verification.
You will be a motivated and passionate Control Systems professional who is committed to technical excellence and sustainable improvement.
Your technical expertise and team approach will contribute to business improvements from projects that have a control systems components. You will have a solution focused attitude and strong analytical and problem solving skills.
You will have excellent communications skills and be able to build relationships with people across all levels while maintaining a commitment to health and safety.
In addition, we are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
Experience in Investigation and Root Cause Analysis.
Competent in configuration and programming of various PLC Platforms, including Allen Bradley ControlLogix, GE and Schneider Concept
Competent in configuration and programming of SCADA/HMI systems, in particular Citect SCADA.
Industrial fieldbus networks such as PROFIBUS, MODBUS, DEVICENET and ETHERNET
Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering / Control Systems Engineering (or similar)
In this dynamic role you will work across our mine sites based in the Pilbara region of Western Australia including; Yandi and Area C on a fly-in fly-out 5:2 4: 3 roster from Perth. Our FIFO villages have a wide range of facilities and all rooms have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
