About the Role
Residential role with a close-knit community atmosphere
Shift Roster – 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off

The Services area is responsible for many different supporting processes that are essential for the safe operation of our Nickel Smelter. This role will be operating a 100tpd 6MPa boiler and two superheated steam turbines alongside the operation of a Cryogenic Oxygen Plant. This role will lead into further development in other areas of the Services portfolio including Sulphuric Acid Plant, Crushing and Milling Circuits, Effluent Treatment and Train Unloading.
We are currently seeking a Powerhouse Specialist to join our team at Kalgoorlie. The successful individual will report to the Supervisor Production Services.
Current or previous Process Technician experience in Boiler operation and or Steam Turbine operation
Current Intermediate or Advanced Boiler Operation HRWL
Current Steam Turbine Operation HRWL
Previous experience with boilers, superheaters, economisers and steam turbines will be highly regarded
Previous experience with cryogenic separation, distillation or other similar processes will be highly regarded
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to handle minor maintenance projects
Strong understanding of production processes
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical devices
Show vast initiative and be able to work unsupervised
Able to handle a complexity of tasks efficiently
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong orientation to safe work practices – High safety focus
Current Australian manual driver's license essential
