The role supports the WA Major Projects portfolio which develops and delivers major projects greater than $250million value for the iron ore and nickel assets, with initial focus on a number of projects within study phase.
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the HSE Functional Services team in the role of Principal HSE supporting WA Major Projects. Reporting to the Superintendent HSE WA Major Projects, this role will provide Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) functional support for the Nickel West (NiW) Smelter Renewal Project.
The Project is a large scale maintenance and upgrade Project at our NiW Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter. The role will be providing leadership, coaching and strategic direction in the Project Development phase as a subject matter expert for the Project Team. There is an expectation that the incumbent will be highly independent and embedded within the Project team and work along with Project Studies Delivery Managers to deliver HSE outcomes in an integrated Business Partnership model.
The role is a 12 month fixed term opportunity based in Perth and will require some regular travel to project sites.
