Planning Superintendent – Fixed Plant Full Time

Pilbara Minerals is looking for Great People to join its team in powering a sustainable future. Located 120km south of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region, the Pilgangoora Lithium-Tantalum Project is one of the most exciting new projects in Western Australia.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting directly to the Manager Asset Management & Planning, the Planning Superintendent is responsible for leading and developing the planning function to deliver a safe, sustainable and reliable operation, in line with best practice compliant with industry regulations, Company policies, procedures and standards.
This is a newly created position, which has been identified as critical in maximising plant availability and ensuring sustained reliability.
This is a permanent opportunity and will operate on a FIFO 4:3, 4:3, 8:6 roster from Perth or Port Hedland.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing leadership, support and guidance to the planning and shutdown team with a strong safety focus
• Ensure planning & scheduling protocols, systems and plans are in place that support the maintenance & operational teams in the execution of both routine and shutdown work
• Lead and provide technical expertise to work management processes
• Perform regular gap analysis on master data and work management processes to identify and implement improvement plans
• Developing and refining the scheduled outage forecast for site to optimise and manage business impact
• Working with internal and external stakeholders aligning activities to meet operational needs
• Preparing and tracking annual zero-based budgets and cost management

ABOUT YOU:

• Significant experience in fixed plant maintenance within the mining industry
• A relevant trade or planning qualification
• Strong organisational and systematic planning skills
• An effective communicator with an ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced team environment
• Good knowledge of statutory safety requirements with a commitment to safety and the environment
• Proficient in MS Office suite, as well as Pronto experience highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on continuous improvement
• Current WA C-class manual driver’s licence
