Mining Engineer

The Role & Project

We are seeking an experienced Mining Engineer for a permanent full-time opportunity working an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth.

Reporting to the Project Manager you are responsible for weekly and monthly reporting obligations both internally and with the client, drill and blast design, short-term planning, scheduling equipment and processes to meet the mine plan and design work for project tasks.

The Pilgangoora Lithium-Tantalum project is located 120km from Port Hedland in Western Australia’s Pilbara region, and is one of the biggest new lithium ore (spodumene) deposits in the world, with a globally significant hard rock spodumene resource.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mining).
• 5+ years experience in open pit mining.
• Strong understanding and capability in mining software applications Vulcan and Alastri.
• Current WA drivers’ licence.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
