About the role
As a Mine Controller/Builder at Newmont, you will manage the safe and successful operation of fleet management technology, working in collaboration with the mine operations team and achieving the mine production goals safely.
Your Skills Checklist
- Previous experience in a Mine Controller, Builder or Pit (Field) Builder position
- Advanced user of Autonomous Hauling operating systems
- Experience using Command/MineStar – desirable
- Proficient in computer operation and application
- Ability to prioritise conflicting schedules
- Approachable and results oriented
- Competent written and verbal communicator
- Previous experience in a high tonnage open pit operation
Key to success will be your ability to operate the mine control system ensuring the mining fleet can be utilised and operated effectively and efficiently.
Key Accountabilities
- Executing and optimising the plan
- Directing the operation and ensuring the fleet delivers the plan
- Managing shift productions through correct Autonomous Haulage assignments
- Managing FMS production and data integrity
