Mechanical Technician (Maintenance Fitter) Full Time

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Mechanical Technician (Maintenance Fitter) is responsible for maintaining fixed plant equipment to a high standard to ensure the reliable and safe production of all fixed plant.

This is a permanent full-time position on an 8/6 7/7 (day and night shift) roster, FIFO from Perth, or DIDO from Port Hedland, WA.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Complete daily mechanical maintenance activities to achieve the maintenance plan as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Trouble shooting of machine components to determine causes of failures including gathering of failure evidence for further analysis.
• Ensure all work orders are completed to a consistent high quality in PRONTO.
• Ensure parts are appropriately allocated as per work order instructions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Provide feedback to supervisors on any business improvement opportunities and ideas.
• Take a proactive approach to safety including identifying and reporting safety hazards and adhering to the Life Saving Rules.

ABOUT YOU:

• Relevant Mechanical Trade Certificate essential.
• Previous fixed processing plant experience essential.
• Relevant tickets such as Forklift, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, EWP & Crane/Dogging/Rigging highly regarded.
• PRONTO experience and MS Office skills highly regarded.
• Current WA Driver’s licence.
• Willingness to undertake a full site medical and provide a current. National Police Clearance or ability to obtain.
