Macmahon is currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our WAC Workshop team in a full-time permanent capacity based at the Perth Airport. With a recent expansion of the workshop facilities, this position is responsible for enhancing the growth of the WAC Workshop & Macmahon Maintenance Masters.
Macmahon’s WAC Workshop undertakes a range of tasks to manage Macmahon’s extensive fleet of equipment, while also completing maintenance projects for external clients. Macmahon Maintenance Masters is Macmahon’s internal labour support division providing maintenance support to our surface and underground operations.
Responsibilities of the role:
• Manage existing sales pipelines and develop new business opportunities
• Develop new-business proposals and presentations, and quotes
• Develop goals for business growth
• Liaise with potential clients to establish rapport
• Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives
• Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events
• Travel as required to meet business needs and potential client requirements
To be successful the following is required:
• 1-2 years in a similar position – within the mining industry
• Experience in mobile equipment rebuilds, repairs and component overhauls
• Proficient in MS Office and CRM software
• Excellent communication skills
• High level time management and planning skills
• Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting and budgeting
