Reporting to the Supervisor Maintenance on site with a 7 days on 7 days off roster, this role’s main responsibility is to work on rotating machinery, compressors, lubrication systems, hydraulics and pneumatic conveying systems.
Other responsibilities:
Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development
Maintain a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment
Undertake preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with maintenance planning systems and recommending appropriate follow-up action
Work from schematic drawings, prints, plans or manuals, and recording any modifications
Take responsibility for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of fixed plant equipment
Inspect, diagnose, service and repair of Fixed Plant equipment
Ensure operational discipline in 1SAP Work Management practices, from raising of notifications, execution of Work Orders on both planned and unplanned situations
Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the workshops
Undertake training and upskilling as required
Skills and Requirements include:
Australian recognised Mechanical Fitting trade qualification
Solid field equipment Boilermaking maintenance competency
Previous experience in fixed plant maintenance in the mining or construction industry
Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, be self-motivated and show passion toward the equipment within the department.
Capability in 1SAP or similar maintenance management systems (desirable)
C Class manual driver’s license
HRWL, Rigging (Basic), EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space training and current MSIC (desirable).
