Reporting to the Superintendent Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing geotechnical services to the business incorporating all aspects of day-to-day slope design implementation, geotechnical pit inspections and hazard management.
In addition, the role will require support and improvement of the geotechnical engineering systems through cross-collaborative engagement with key stakeholders. This diverse range of work will see you positively influence business decisions and will require a focus on delivering value, clear decision-making skills, technical excellence and strong collaboration skills.

Your stakeholder engagement expertise will foster collaborative working relationships across our Geoscience, Engineering, Studies and Operational Teams. In addition, you will have the skills and knowledge to provide critical thinking combined with a solution-focused attitude.
The ability to communicate effectively across disciplines and organisational levels to create buy-in and influence outcomes will be highly regarded. A passion for continuous improvement will contribute to the identification, development and implementation of improvement opportunities.

With this position you will have the opportunity to work across our mine sites based in the Newman region of Western Australia on a fly-in fly-out roster. Our FIFO villages have a wide range of facilities, and all rooms have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
