About the Role
We are currently seeking Multi-Skilled Operators, who have production experience with ancillary equipment in an open-pit mining environment.
Experience operating two or more of the following pieces of equipment is highly regarded:
• Excavators – Liebherr 9200, 994/9400, 996/9600, Terex O&K RH340
• CAT D10 or D11 – Track Dozers
• Loaders – 1 CAT 992, 980M, 930H
• Wheel Dozer – 854K
• Graders – CAT 16H, 18M, 16M & 24M
• Small excavators & rock-breakers – CAT325, CAT 349
• Haul Trucks – CAT 793 & 785
This role will offer individuals the opportunity to work as part of a team while providing flexibility to perform various duties. You will be part of a productive team, that is committed to operating with an engaged and empowered workforce. Our mining teams are also committed to challenging the status quo through continuous learning and technology.
• You will report to a Production Supervisor, and will demonstrate the following:
• Overriding commitment to BHP Charter, health, safety, environment and sustainable development
• Work effectively with other team members
• Contributing to our safety and continuous improvement culture
• Maintain a high-level working knowledge of safety processes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
• A strong desire to learn and a high level of enthusiasm to develop a range of new skills
• Current Australian manual C class driver's licence
This position is offered on a FIFO 7/7 or 2/1 roster.
